Refund Policy
The short version#
If Drafty Pro isn't a fit, email [email protected] within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full — no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are handled case by case.
What you can request a refund for#
- Monthly Pro plan ($12 / month) — full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase or any renewal you didn't intend.
- Annual Pro plan ($99 / year) — full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase or any renewal you didn't intend.
The free tier (5 polishes/day signed-out, 10 polishes/day signed-in) has nothing to refund.
Prices are in USD and exclude tax. Any taxes collected at checkout are refunded together with the plan price.
How to request a refund#
- Email [email protected] from the email address on your Drafty account.
- Include your Paddle order ID (in the receipt Paddle sent you) or the date and amount of the charge.
- We aim to reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method and typically arrive within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.
Cancelling future charges#
A refund covers a charge that already happened. To stop future charges, cancel your subscription from the Paddle Customer Portal link in your receipt email, or email us and we will cancel it for you. Cancelling keeps your Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
When we may decline a refund#
We will normally honor any 14-day request, but we may decline if:
- The account shows clear signs of abuse — for example, exceeding fair use of the "unlimited" Pro tier in ways that look like scraping, resale, or automated mass generation.
- The same person has repeatedly purchased and refunded Pro on multiple accounts.
- The request is made well after 14 days and the account has been used substantially during that time.
None of this affects rights you have under your local consumer protection law (for example, the EU 14-day right of withdrawal), which we will always honor.
Who handles the payment#
Drafty uses Paddle as our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller on your receipt and processes the refund on our behalf. We approve or decline the request; Paddle moves the money.
